Theresia and her family took us out for a fantastic meal in their village of Markelsheim. This restaurant is incredibly beautiful and surprising that it can sustain itself in such a small town. It was lovely atmosphere and terrific food. The ceiling was literally dripping in grapes… The overhang is overgrown with grape leaves and ripe grapes dangle overhead making the restaurant seem secluded and organic.
I came here three years ago and didn’t realize then that those grape vines are real.
Secco grown and made in their region with italian raspberries.
The Lanig family (minus Maphie, Kilian, and Julius)… Lovely people.
Roasted rabbit with olive crust and grilled vegetables.
It wouldn’t be Germany without some Wienerschnitzel.
